Adobe releases Flash Builder 4, ColdFusion Builder and Flash Platform Social service

Software company Adobe Systems Inc (Nasdaq: ADBE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) said on Monday that it is now offering Adobe Flash Builder 4 and ColdFusion Builder software, its next generation Flash Platform tool for building multi-platform Rich Internet Applications (RIAs).

Additionally, Adobe has added a new Social service to its recently introduced Adobe Flash Platform Services in order to streamline integration between web applications and leading social networks using Facebook Connect, Sign-in with Twitter, MySpaceID and LinkedIn.

Flash Builder 4, formerly Adobe Flex Builder, is an Eclipse-based development tool for building multi-platform RIAs and content using the open source Flex framework. It provides new and improved coding and testing capabilities, while allowing designers and developers to more efficiently collaborate using new integrated workflows with Adobe Creative Suite.

The release of Flash Builder 4 comes ahead of the planned introduction of Flash Player 10.1 later in the first half of 2010.

ColdFusion Builder is a new Eclipse-based integrated development environment for building ColdFusion applications. It is integrated with Flash Builder 4 for fast and easy RIA development, Adobe says.
