Goggles Software Introduced By Google

Google comes up with a fascinating piece of software. As communicated in the official blog of Google, the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona beholds to a proto type version of Google Goggles. This software demonstrated the probability of hooking in Google’s machine translation and image recognition technologies.

A video was accommodated in the blog to define the mechanism further. The video demonstrated usage of Goggles. A picture of a text of German menu was translated right away into English text through this software.

The technology works by bridging the handset’s camera to an optical character recognition (OCR) engine. It analyzes the picture as text and hence translates the same text into English by virtue of Google Translate.

As of now this technology can be in action just for German-English translations. It is not fully armed to face all languages yet. However, this software this software is capable enough and holds a lot of potential in the future. Mobile phones amalgamated with this software will be able to translate signs, posters and other foreign text instantaneously into user’s language.

Finally, Google is scheming to come up with a version of Google Goggles that can translate all 52 languages as of now compatible with Google Translate. But for this to actualize viewers need to hold for some time.
